Playa Del Carmen, Mexico!
I recently traveled to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico with the girls. We had so much fun and I took tons of pictures and GoPro video. I have hours of video editing ahead of me, but here are a few of my favorite pics from the trip. I'll link up the video once I have it...there were people on my trip too...you can see them on the video :)

Costa Rica
McKay and I just got back from an amazing trip to Costa Rica! We feel so blessed to have been able to see so much wild life (the monkeys were outside our hotel!) and to spend an unforgettable week with each other in a country with so much to see and experience. Here is a sample of the 2000+ photos I took in one week. :)

Pilates
I'll admit, I love a racing heart....not just the racing heart I get when I am around my husband...but a racing heart from serious cardio! You know, the kind you get from running and cycling?
My hamstring injury still has me banned from running, but my doctors are allowing me to cycle if I take it easy and ride smart (no over doing it!) One of my doctors told me I should do Pilates to strengthen my core. My what?! Ha! Well, thanks to Aspire Pilates in Riverton I have found my core and it is getting worked every Wednesday night.
They are actually doing a special class for cyclists...both McKay and I signed up! Can't hurt, right? Ok, it hurts. :) My muscles quiver and I'm a little sore the day after, but I love it. Its not the same as running or cycling, but its going to help me with both and hopefully prevent a future injury!

Halloween
I think Halloween is an adult holiday. Sure the kids love it for the candy, but lets be honest. Walk into any halloween super store. You don't see aisles and aisles of kid friendly decorations, props or costumes. Its all about the adults. Adults love a good scare, a chance to be someone or something they are not. They love a good party. And of course they love to see the kids in their costumes and to hand out candy.
I actually love Halloween. My husband does not. He is an educator, which means he is surrounded by kids on a sugar high and parents who celebrate Halloween more than Christmas. He dresses up every year and is a VERY good sport about it but is relieved once November 1st rolls around. This year, my office (Horsley Orthodontics) had costume theme of witches. The men in the office dressed up in scary costumes because for whatever reason, they did not want to be witches.
McKay didn't want to be something too scary for the kids, but did agree to be a monster...The Cookie Monster! For an adult party we went to, he actually dressed up as my broom because I was a witch. Good times.
We rarely hand out candy to the kids in the neighborhood. Not that we have anything against it, we have just discovered that if you want to walk right into a very busy restaurant (like The Cheesecake Factory), go on Halloween night!!
Here are a few of the highlights of our Halloween Holiday. Can't wait for next year...
